Vila de Rei is preparing to host, between July 27th and August 4th, another edition of the Sausage, Cheese and Honey Fair (FEQM). The biggest event in the Municipality promises to once again present many and varied attractions, attracting thousands of people over the nine days of the event.
The main stage will once again welcome big names in national entertainment and music, with performances by Nena, Buba Espinho, Chave d'Ouro, Manel do Barril, Elsa Gomes & Dr. Rex, Leo & Leandro, Los Romeros, Sara Correia and Luís Trigacheiro.
Stage 2 will feature performances by musical groups from the Municipality – Roda Viva and Grupo de Marchas da Univ. Senior, mixed performance from Univ. Senior and Music School of Vila de Rei, School of Concertinas and Concertina Group of Casa do Benfica of Vila de Rei, guitar concert of the School of Music of Vila de Rei and Villa d'el Rei Tuna - and with other groups of popular music, such as Tuna de Cavaquinhos from the Municipality of Sardoal, fusion dance Basheera Dance Vibes, APPACDM ranch from Sertã and 'Sellium e Sacarrabos'.
Stage 3 is once again dedicated to electronic and dance music, with performances by DJ Hugo Rafael, DJ Gonçalo Henriques, DJ Vassalo, DJ Luís Pinheiro, group Tok & Baile, DJ Salito, DJ Cláudio Bento, DJ KADIV and DJ Tiago Silva.
On the sporting front, it is also worth highlighting the III Padel Tournament, Interassociations Futsal Tournament, Canoeing Trip, Sueca Tournament, Bouncy Ball Tournament, Penalty Cup and demonstrations by the Univ Zumba Class. Senior from Vila ed Rei, Zumba Kidz Class from Vilarregense FC and the Vila de Rei Karate ANAM Group.
During the nine days of the event, visitors are also invited to visit the 24th Book Fair, at the José Cardoso Pires Municipal Library facilities and to participate in the 43rd Vila de Rei Blood Collection, which will take place between 3:00 pm and at 7:00 pm on August 5th.
With more than a hundred confirmed exhibitors, the best of regional crafts and gastronomy and the region's delicious sausages, cheese and honey, the organization hopes to repeat the usual success of FEQM with many thousands of visitors expected in Vila de Rei.
